Best Pizza / Italian Restaurant in New York City?

We’re planning a trip to NYC in March and we’d like to know where to go…

I found a nice list of New York pizza restrants. I think someone in your hometown can help assist you. http://www.locatepizza.com/New-York-Pizza-Shops.html Just phone one of the New York pizza joints or drop by one day when you are not busy and try talking to a salesperson who can help.

I mean table-cloth restaurant as opposed to take-out.

And P.S.: I can’t seem to find any Bucca di Pepe (listed as an answer!)

Vespa Cibobuono
96 Northern Blvd.
Great Neck, NY 11021

And Buca di Beppo is not a place I would eat at again but just in case you want to try it:

Determine the rental cost of a site in a good neighborhood.
$1,000 per month.
Re-model the building. The cost, including ovens, table, chairs, decor will be about $600.00 per square foot. If the land lord pays for your re-modeling, that will add another $1,000 per month to your proposed cost. License fees, advertising, turning on your utilities will be a one time charge of $2,000.
Another factor is how much money will you need during the six months when you will not be breaking even. Most business plans are based on three year projections with quarterly reports.
All of this should be part of your business plan that you present to your banker, or partners. If you have a group of people who know about the very large potential of a pizzeria over any other type of restaurant, and they believe in you, they will be wealthy businessmen who can provide you with a business plan far superior to this sketch.
If I were your banker in today’s’ market, I would strongly discourage you. If I didn’t know you, I would turn it down.
Even if you were married to my daughter and I could finance this on my own, I would tell you to wait for the economy to get better and to improve your resume.
