Chill your wines while living in an apartment with a wine refrigerator

If any of you are anything like myself you will have lived in various style houses over the past few decades - some maybe being apartments or townhouses, and at other times bigger family houses.
In an apartment it is a good idea to have a wine storage refrigerator in the kitchen or living area, given there is limited space for additional furniture.
Some wine refrigerators sit on bench tops or on a cabinet as they in some cases might only hold 12 -16 wine bottles.
For those of you operating small guest apartments or B&B businesses, a classy looking wine refrigerator is more than a functional item, it adds to the experience of residing in your establishment.
The big plus however is that they are nearly always silent in operation, unlike normal fridges that have a thermostat clicking on and off throughout the day and night - definitely not what you want in a bedroom or small guest apartment.
Many apartments utilize an open plan design with the kitchen, living and dining area as one big room, split up by elements such as island units or kitchen preparation countertops.
In this situation an undercounter wine cabinet is perfect for your needs as these typically hold more wine - like several dozen bottles or so - and even though they go under the countertop, they still look awesome with their stainless steel facia, smoked thermopane glass and extremely classy appearance.
If you happen to have a large family then you are pretty much going to be living in a bigger house.
Bigger families require extra refrigeration space, and there is nothing worse than loading up your main refrigerator with 20 wine bottles.
That definitely is not a recipe for happy families!
In this situation I like to have a family refrigerator for meat and veg, and store my wine elsewhere, in most cases closer to where I am entertaining friends.
If security is an issue there is no issue maintaining your wine under lock and key.
Now when I go to my wine shop, I secure a some additional bottles for the fridge, so I don’t have to go so often.
