Bellevue is endowed with a lovely location and a city full of different types of restaurants. Italian cuisine is represented very well with some elegant establishments all the way to pizza joints. Most of these Italian Restaurants Bellevue are very good and you can find either the dishes that are traditional in Italy or American Italian dishes.
You will find Ristorante Paradiso’s, a great Italian Restaurant on 110th Avenue across from the public library downtown on the north end of the square. Lunch and dinner are served and they offer a large banquet room for around 70 people. They also have private dining room that will accommodate up to 15 people. The owners boast that they serve wonderful wine and great food in a luxurious setting and you get it all for great prices. Guests can see activity in the kitchen from the public dining area and the atmosphere is contemporary. Andiamo’s has its own parking lot so there is no need to park and walk for blocks.
The menu is very extensive. Appetizers are many and they all sound very good. There is the regular antipasto salad or try some bruchetta or the smoked salmon. There is traditional calamari served with a marinara sauce or try the Caprese salad, a peasant dish of sliced tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil. Soups are made every day from what can be procured from the market and a bowl will cost you around 7. 50 and a cup 6 dollars. The Anidiamo salad is a restaurant favorite and is made up of greens, grilled eggplant, roasted red pepper and Gorgonzola served with a dressing of vinaigrette and costs about 7 dollars.
Entrees include fish of the day or chicken piccata, Marsala, or Parmigiana. Veal can also be provided instead of chicken and these dishes cost around 19 dollars. You can get a Fillet or lamb dish at the market price of the day. The menu boasts many different pasta dishes but the one that gets the most attention is the unusual combination of pears and Gorgonzola cheese in a ravioli that is served in a sauce of Gorgonzola and walnut. You can get any other pasta you can think of here including vegetarian pastas. They also serve all types of sauce and some you have never heard of before. There is also pasta made with seafood and different combinations of risotto. Prices are great for what you get at Andiamo’s.
Firenzi Ristorante may give Andiamo’s a little quality competition. Firenzi opened its doors in 1992 and have made friends with many Bellevue residents for many years. The walls are stucco that reflect the candles on the tables and the terracotta floor looks like you just stepped into an Italian villa. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and will make sure you are treated right.
The menu starts with a variety of appetizers including prosciutto with cheese and olives, or a traditional and tasty bruschetta. You can get calamari here but it is different as it is served with peas in a sauce made of tomatoes. Salads are many as well including a regular romaine salad that is topped off with tomatoes and mushrooms. You will pay anywhere between 7 to 16 dollars for an appetizer.
The pasta offerings are abundant and include all types of pastas that are smothered in many different sauces such as Alfredo, claim, Pesto, tomato, wine sauce, or mushroom sauce and cost around 14 to 25 dollars. This restaurant also has chicken that is stuffed with cheese and ham in a cream or a wine sauce. They have the regular Marsla, Pizzaiola, and Piccata on the menu too. There is lamb, sausage dishes, quail and a multitude of seafood dishes. The entrees run from 14 to 25 dollars. If you have a sweet tooth you can find desserts at this restaurant that will tickle your tongue. Find Firenzi Ristorante near Bellevue square and visit them at lunch or at dinner time.
Bellevue is the home of other Italian eateries as well. Some are very small and there are a few chain restaurants that serve Italian fare as well. The two listed above are some of the best in town. They bring Italy home to Bellevue.
