4. Cook patties, until golden brown on equally sides, about 3 minutes per side.

Sauce
Combine every ingredients in a small saucepan and heat on top of medium heat until warm.

Add a little quantity of flour and mix with a whisk to thicken sauce.

Spoon sauce higher than tuna patties and serve.

Halloween Drink Recipes

These warm, fall drinks will warm the tummies of little monsters and adults alike! They're toasty and tasty as well as easy to make - which makes them perfect for entertaining or for making together with the family. Below are recipes for Mint Hallo-Cream and Orange Hallo-Cream. Note: you can leave the mint and orange extract out for a simply delicious vanilla cream beverage.

Mint Hallo-Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 gallon milk or soy milk
  • 1 pound vanilla flavored CandiQuik
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Green food coloring
  • Whipped cream
  • Sprinkles or nonpareils

Instructions:

  1. Heat milk on the stovetop on medium heat for five minutes.
  2. Chop the CandiQuik into small pieces and place into a heat resistant bowl.
  3. Pour the heated milk over the CandiQuik chunks and stir until candy is melted.
  4. Stir in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  5. Add 8 drops of green food coloring for color.
  6. Pour drink mixture into glasses, then top with whipped cream and nonpareils or sprinkles and serve!

Orange Hallo-Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 gallon milk or soy milk
  • 1 pound vanilla flavored CandiQuik
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract
  • Red and yellow food coloring
  • Whipped cream
  • Sprinkles or nonpareils

Instructions:

  1. Heat milk on the stovetop on medium heat for five minutes.
  2. Chop the CandiQuik candy into small pieces and place into a heat resistant bowl.
  3. Pour the heated milk over the CandiQuik chunks and stir until candy is melted.
  4. Stir in vanilla and orange extracts.
  5. Add 3 drops of red food coloring and 12 drops of yellow food coloring to make orange.
  6. Pour drink mixture into glasses, top with whipped cream and nonpareils or sprinkles and serve!

How I Make Meat Lasagna

I love cooking and eating lasagna. However, it can be tough and intimidating, but with the right cooking tips, you can make it delicious. Most tips that you’ve heard of before, I left out and only wanted to include tips that you probably haven’t seen before. With these tips you are guaranteed to make a delicious lasagna.

Here is my first tip for a great lasagna: In my meat sauce, I combine a couple types of meat. I use beef, pork and turkey for the best flavor in the lasagna. I try to use dry lasagna noodles or the no boil variety. If you use the dry noodles, be sure to use a lot of sauce around these noodles. This will help soften up the noodles while you bake the lasagna.

This step involves buying the freshest ingredients you can find. Especially, with cheeses. With Parmesan cheese, I prefer the freshly grated type, for obvious reasons. With mozzarella cheese, you have to find the best and the freshest type of mozzarella. Just buy the best cheese and your lasagna will taste amazing. If you settle for cheap cheese, your lasagna will be bland.

Do not add liquid to your pasta sauce. You want your sauce to be thick, especially if you add veggies to your sauce. The veggies will add extra liquid to your pasta sauce.

Be sure to have aluminum foil on hand to cover your lasagna while it bakes. If you don’t use aluminum foil, it will burn on top of the lasagna. Leave it covered for most of the baking time, only uncovering it during the last 15 minutes of baking.

Be sure to put a little sauce on the bottom so the noodles won’t stick. You can also spray it with pam if you choose to.

Be sure to drain the meat VERY well to keep lasagna from being runny. This is very important. You can even use a paper towel to drain the meat.

Eggs are very important to a lasagna. You can use eggs for binder. Use three eggs with meat, spaghetti sauce, cream cheese, cottage or ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and noodles.

Cool Summer Soup Recipes

Summer is coming and so is the hot weather.  Nobody likes to cook in the heat of summer.  A really hot meal on a hot day is nearly as detested.  It could be that a cool, straightforward to prepare summer soup is just what you want. 

Below are three recipes for soups that can be made in your mixer or blender.  If you have the ingredients on hand, not one of them take more than ten mins to make.  They are all delightful, tasty, and actually refreshing on a warm day.  While the recipes all suggest you use a blender, you can get very good results by employing a blender or hand blender too. 

These are all very simple recipes, so do not be shy to modify them and get a taste that your entire family can enjoy. 

Here are the recipes. 

Summer Vegetarian soup
This is great tasting soup with a touch of Italy included.  It is super straightforward to make and really healthy.  It is particularly good on a hot summer day

An avocado - skin and pit removed of course
4 Roma tomatoes - they would possibly not be quite luscious enough ( see below )
Basil to taste ( Thai basil is actually good in this )
Four tablespoons of additional virgin olive oil

Process
How straightforward is this soup?  Simply throw everything into your Kenwood and mix till it is smooth.  If you find that it is more like a smoothie than soup, simply add more liquid ( or swap one of the Roma tomatoes for another more delicious variety ).  Pour into bowls, garnish as you wish ( minced chives are nice ) and enjoy. 

wonderful Salsa & Black Bean

This soup is a particularly simple soup that takes only a few minutes to prepare.  It can be served hot or cold, but always benefits from being heated. 
approximately 4 servings

INGREDIENTS :
2 ordinary sized cans of black beans ( any brand is OK, but try for low salt )
1 [*FR1] cups soup stock ( Just use chicken, meat, or plant bullion )
one cup of your favourite salsa ( corpulent makes a heartier soup )
1 little spoon cumin ( best to use fresh ground in the soup and you can sprinkle seeds on top too )
0.25 cup of sour cream
1-2 green onions sliced fine

Process :
Put the beans, salsa, cumin, and soup stock into a mixer ( a blender is OK too ).  Puree the mix till it is creamy in texture.  Decant the mixture into a mid-sized pot and heat on low-medium until it is completely hot.  This permits the flavours to combine.  If you are going to serve it cold, move it to the fridge to cool off till it is time to eat.  To eat it hot, simply serve into bowls and garnish with the onions and some of the sour cream. 

MANGO SOUP

Mangos are simply divine.  They are great as a fruit, stirred into drinks, added to salads.  They also make a good cool summer soup which is explained below. 

Ingredients :

1 large RIPE mango ( it’s going to be soft, no squishy, to touch )
2 cups chicken soup stock ( make your own or use bullion if you must )
1 TBSP lemon grass ( available in most Asian markets, it looks like long greenish reeds when you buy it )
one TBSP ginger - Freshly cut is best
Ground chili peppers to sample
one cup yogurt ( two percent plain is best )
2 TBSP cilantro ( chinese parsley ) chopped fine

Process :
Chop mango and put in food processor.  Mix momentarily and then put in the ginger, lemon grass, chili and half cup of soup stock.  Mix again till everything becomes really smooth.  Move the soup into another bowl ( be certain it is large enough ) and mix in first the remainder of the stock, and then the yogurt.  This is best served cold, so put in refrigerator until you are ready for eating.  Then put into bowls and serve with the cilantro as the garnish.

Try The Easy Soup Recipe

- 6 huge green onions
- two green peppers
- one or two cans of tomatoes
- 3 Carrots
- one Container ( ten oz.  Or so ) Mushrooms
- one bunch of celery
- Half a head of cabbage
- 1 package Lipton soup mix
- 1 or 2 cubes of bouillon ( optional )
- 1 48oz can V8 juice ( optional )
- season well with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, for example. 

Cut green onions, put in a pot and start cooking.  Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take the seeds and membrane out.  Cut the green-pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot.  Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, add to pot.  Clean carrots, cut into bite size pieces, and add to pot.  Cut mushrooms into thick slices, add to pot .If you would like a spicy soup, and add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper now.  You may use meat or chicken bouillon cubes for seasonings.  These have all the salt and flavors you will need.  Use about 12 cups of water, cover and put heat on low.  Let soup cook for a long time - two hours works well.  Season to taste with salt and pepper. 

This is the recipe I found, and from chatting to many folk this is my conclusion : if you stick to the plan, it can work for you, yet this complete cabbage soup business is for those that can actually appreciate it.  As for me, I actually believe that one should consume not only what would make his loose weight, but also something that would taste good!  What would be the point of suffering if your final goal is to feel good?  I believe that one should enjoy not only the result but also the process!
